Well, Captain Nemo turned out to be too much like living inside a submarine. Not only did the dark color suck all the light and life out of the room but the semi-glossy paint that I chose (against the advice of 'Tom' at the paint store) highlighted all the imperfections in the walls. So I repainted with a lighter gray and am much happier, especially after Joel installed a new white vanity today.
