Well, the DFL senate district convention was much more interesting than the training for it. Never again will I try to be conscientious and prepare ahead of time!
I've had three unexpected compliments in the last two days.
1) When I told the elderly lady clerk at Hallmark that I didn't want a bag, she said, "Al Gore would be proud of you."
2) Today a flooring contractor was blown away by our arched front door, saying he'd never seen such a thing before (and here I'd been complaining about the $1000 we had to pay for a new matching storm door). He concluded, "It looks like a fairy tale house or something."
3) And at my Guinea pig reflexology session, my friend Kristine (the student working on my feet) said, "You have such cute little locus Buddha feet!" I don't even know what that means, but it certainly doesn't sound like my callused size 9s!

I think explaining what a Guinea pig reflexology session is might deserve another post! Also, I like how your post dovetails with Liv's blog post about compliments...
Test comment. Test comment. Test comment. I tried this yesterday and was ejected. Test comment. In case it goes through this time, it's LOTUS feet, not LOCUS feet, silly! I am not sure about the symbolism, but the Buddha's feet got a lot of attention, maybe because he walked great distances with them until he reached enlightenment. I wonder what size he was.... I'm glad you and your 9s recovered sufficiently from the pushing and prodding to make it home, in any case!
We also have an arched front door and I think our house looks like a fairy tale house (a blue one). I'm proud of you for not using bags, too AND what in the world is Guinea pig reflexology and where can I go for a session? Thanks to Ingrid I can now get to you blog quickly and look forward to reading it often.
